How does the Water Taxi work in Rotterdam

Which Water Taxi stop is closest to seeRotterdam?

Sleep at one of the hotels on the Kop van Zuid, for example Roommate Bruno, the NHOW, Hotel New York, or the Wrap Boats and booked a bike tour or rental bikes with us? Then the Water Taxi is the ideal way to get to us.
Book a water cab and be dropped off at stop 49, Mainport Hotel. From there it is a 5-minute walk to our location!

What is the Water Taxi anyway?

If you’ve ever been to Rotterdam, you’ve probably seen: those fast, yellow boats with a yellow roof. That’s the Rotterdam Water Taxi. One of the coolest ways to get around Rotterdam quickly and an absolute must-do during your stay in Rotterdam.

Once started as a service to transport guests from Hotel New York across the Maas (Hotel New York was completed before the Erasmus Bridge and there was no other construction on the Kop van Zuid) and to take sailors to and from their ships, they are now mostly transporting tourists and day-trippers. There are more and more of them, and especially in high season, it is advisable to book your ride in advance through their website.

By the way, did you know that if someone goes overboard anywhere in the harbor or from one of the bridges, the Water Taxis are “first responder”? Because they are so fast and can get to many places, they are often able to provide help quickly!

An outstanding activity. We went over a number of bridges, down backstreets, and saw some famous sights as well. Although we crossed roads, there was no other mixing with traffic - it was a safe experience, and on good quality new bikes with easy gears. The guide, Ron was extrememly skilled at engaging us all, and providing cultural obervations as well. I wish I has booked the trip early in my visit for this reason. Definitely recommended

This was a very nice way to explore the city and visit and see most of the highlights in 2.5 hours. With a great guide, who knows the city like the back of her hand and tells fun historical facts. Good to do for all ages. Really enjoyed it.

What a lovely, friendly and accommodating company. I had a fantastic tour around the highlights of Rotterdam with Jan. It was my first city bike tour and I would thoroughly recommend it. We had an outing with the team in Rotterdam. The guide of the bike tour was our 'old' colleague Gordon. How well he is doing! Nice route with places to stop and provide us with information. We celebrated a birthday weekend with friends in Rotterdam and had Tamara as our guide. A very enthusiastic lady who took us along in the transformation of Rotterdam. A walking encyclopedia. We booked a private bike tour of Rotterdam while on a cruise stop to Rotterdam. Our guide was extremely flexible and was happy to adapt the trip according to our son's specific needs. We were shown some really interesting sites in Rotterdam and were taken to some great food stops to taste local treats such as Dutch fries and Poffertjes. I highly recommend this tour company.

Erg leuk, interessante en relaxte fietstour, waarbij je mooi alle highlights te zien krijgt en het meest belangrijke te horen krijgt. Vriendelijke gids (Floor) en eigenaar (Marijn). Wij hadden onze eigen fietsen mee, maar de fietsen van het bedrijf zien er ook erg goed uit. Je kan ze ook voor de rest van de dag huren, zodat je veel van Rotterdam kunt bekijken.Wij raden dit bedrijf zeker aan!
